Rectangles, 88E, Habufa Furniture, Hapert, NL
Legend has that the Dutch verb 'haperen' ('to falter') arose when the Roman advance stalled at Hapert! In any case, it is true that Hapert is located in the Brabantse Kempen, a region with plenty of fens, heaths and forests.
Here, the south and west facades of the Habufa Furniture building are fitted with unique louvers. By Sunshield.
There were many problems in the offices and showroom with reflection on the screens and heating by the sun. The louver systems solved these problems in one fell swoop.
Habufa has opted for the 88-E louver, a slat with a step size of 70 mm. Due to the profile of the 88-E, blades not only overlap, but also interlock.
The louver systems start a little below the windows and extend slightly above the windows. The total surface area is 90 m2 divided over 7 systems, each operated separately.
A corner profile has been placed at the corner where slat systems meet so that the systems integrate nicely. A finishing touch, completely in line with the architect's philosophy.
The aluminium components such as the slats and supports are coated in RAL 7024, graphite gray. The plastic parts are black.
