80R, Trapezia, Véranda Rêve, Private home, France
Véranda Rêve and Sunshield have been business partners for almost six years. Véranda Rêve is located in Étalans, eastern France, close to the Swiss border. The company also have a showroom in Champagney, about 100 km to the north.
Commissioned by Véranda Rêve, Sunshield fitted two bedroom windows of a detached house in Bourgogne-Franche-Comté with unique louvers. These movable systems are built into a niche.
Both blinds have the shape of a trapezoid and are each other's mirror image. Each has an area of about 3 m2. They are operated independently of each other.
The residents have opted for the 80-R louver. This slat made of rolled aluminium has a round shape and a width of 80 mm. The step size, the space between the blades when fully open, is 70 mm.
The aluminium components are coated in RAL 7016, anthracite grey. This contrasts nicely with the white house. The plastic parts are black.
