Pyramid, 145E Louver, Amsterdam, NL
Kroonenberg Groep owns an attractive property portfolio. This also includes Gelderlandplein, the Indoor Shopping Mall in Amsterdam South. Gelderlandplein is home to more than 90 shops and restaurants.
Gelderlandplein has a special glass roof. Why is this special? In the first place because it has the shape of a pyramid. Plus it's huge! On behalf of Kroonenberg Groep, Sunshield provided the glass roof of Gelderlandplein with unique louvers.
Not because the eye wants something nice-looking, although it has also become beautiful. But so that visitors to the indoor shopping center can enjoy themselves as pleasantly as possible.
A triangular slat system is placed on each side of the pyramid. Each side has an area of 121 m2. As said, it's huge. These sides are operated independently of each other via a building management system. Each triangle is on its turn divided into segments to be operated separately. So optimal control over the position of the slats.
For this sun protection, the choice fell on the 145-E louver. A blade with a spherical front and a width of 145 mm. All aluminium components are coated in RAL 7016. Also called anthracite grey. The plastic parts are black.
