Rectangles/triangles, 21 houses, Blaricum, NL
Between the Blaricum village, the lake Gooimeer and the A27, the locality Blaricummermeent has been established. The name of this new neighbourhood refers to the river the Meentstroom that meanders through it.
Here in the Blaricummermeent, construction company Lichtenberg has realized 29 homes. A variety of detached houses and semi-detached houses. In a recognizable style, and yet each house is unique.
Commissioned by Lichtenberg, Sunshield fitted 21 homes with wooden louver systems. Most blinds have the shape of a standing rectangle with a triangular point. The total surface is almost 250 m2.
For this project, the choice fell on the 68-W louver made of Siberian larch. The blades are placed in a fixed angle of 45 degrees. At the request of the architect, the distance between the slats has been increased to 14 cm.
The 68-W is treated with Drywood Woodstain Black delivering a beautiful black colour. The aluminium parts are coated black-grey (RAL 7021) with a gloss level of 70%. The injection-moulded plastic parts are black.
