Multiple shapes, 75E Louver, 25 Homes, Houten, NL
Houten is a village located southeast of the city of Utrecht. A particularly bicycle-friendly municipality, bordered in the south by the meandering Lek.
Here, in the De Schaft district, Sunshield has fitted 25 homes with louver systems. This was done on behalf of BVR Zonwering, itself located in Houten.
The whole project includes 16 large and 9 small trapezoids and 9 rectangles. So a total of 34 louver systems, all equipped with their own operation.
The 75-E slat has been chosen for the total surface area of 160 m2. This is an aluminum louver with a round shape and 75 mm wide.
All aluminum components are of course anodized. An oxide layer has been applied via an electrolytic process, which acts as a protective layer.
The plastic parts are made in light grey. The completely gray louver systems offer a nice contrast with the wooden cladding.
