Trapezium, 107E, Private home, Veghel, NL
The North Brabant village Veghel is part of the municipality of Meierijstad (NL). That also includes the National Landscape the Green Forest, consisting of forests, marshes and an agricultural poplar landscape.
Here, a detached house has been fitted with unique louvers, by Sunshield. At the rear, the residence has a large pentagonal window.
The shape resembles a trapezoid, but the highest point leans slightly inward. The louver system follows the lines of the window closely.
The owners have chosen the 107-E louver. The profile of the 107-E shows a recess, so that the slats do not only overlap, but also fit into each other.
The step size of the 107-E louver is 90 mm. This means that when the louvers are open, you have a view between the louvers of 9 centimetres. This way, you have a beautiful view of the garden.
The louver system of over 15 m2 is driven by a motor. The residents open and close the louvers with a remote control. Or at any desired position in between.
The aluminium components are coated in RAL 7021 with a fine structure. This structure gives the coating a tactile and visible relief and the black-grey colour a matt appearance.
The plastic parts, such as the clips that hold the slats, are finished in black.
