Multiple shapes, 155E, Geras Aannemersbedrijf, Villa, Gilze-Rijen, NL
Gilze en Rijen is a municipality in Central Brabant, halfway between Tilburg and Breda, with plenty of natural beauty where it is good walking and cycling.
Here is a modern country house equipped with multiple louver systems. By Sunshield, commissioned by Geras Aannemersbedrijf in Diessen.
One louver system has the shape of an isosceles triangle. The other four systems start at the base as a rectangle, but end at the top in a triangular shape.
The louvers of the rectangle/triangle at the front facade are placed in a fixed angle during installation.
The louvers of all other systems are tiltable, the slats can be adjusted to any desired angle between 0 and 90 degrees. This is a stepless procedure and done wireless.
The 155-E is the residence louver of choice here. The width of this blade is 155 mm and the step size 140 mm. When the louvers are fully open, there is a 14 cm view between the slats, plenty of room for daylight and a view.
The aluminium parts are coated in RAL 9004, signal black. The gloss level of 30% gives the louvers an exclusive, matte appearance.
The beautiful design of this villa is the result of a collaboration between Vermeer Architects, Knops Tuindesign and Zout Ontwerphuis.
