Multiple shapes, 107E, Scholte op Reimer, Residence, Almelo, NL
Almelo offers something for everyone. You can go shopping, take a hike or a bike and explore nature. Even water sports enthusiasts will find entertainment here, even in the city centre. Who would have thought that.
Here is a residence equipped with unique louvers. By Sunshield, in collaboration with construction company Scholte op Reimer in Vasse (NL). And not one system, but seven.
Two identical louver systems are placed at the front. These start at the base as a rectangle, but quickly transform into a triangular shape. Both blinds are as high as they are wide, namely 3.40 meters.
A third polygon is fitted at the back of the detached house. The shape of the louver system changes into a triangle after just over one meter. The total surface of the rectangle/triangle is 19 m2.
Two trapezoidal slat systems are installed on the left as well as the right facade. With a width of one meter and a height of almost five, these trapezia have a beautiful slender shape.
When choosing the louver, the residents ended up with the 107-E blade. This louver has a width of 107 mm. When the slats are fully open, the view between the slats is 9 centimetres. Just like with the 96-E louver.
The main difference with the 96-E is that the 107-E louver not only overlaps, but also interlocks. This is an advantage with blackout applications. Besides that, it is a matter of personal preference.
All louver systems are equipped with a motor with a remote control, which allows the residents to open or close the slats. Or put them at any desired position in between.
The aluminium parts, such as the louvers and the carriers, are coated in RAL 9004, signal black. The plastic components are also in black.
