Multiple triangles, 96E, Private Home, Helmond, NL
Helmond (NL) is a city located in the Peel in the province of Nort Brabant, a source for peat since the dark Middle Ages. You can walk in varied nature, immerse yourself in history, or enjoy art and culture.
Here, two gables are fitted with unique louvers. By Sunshield, commissioned by A. Heynen Zonweringen in Mierlo.
Both facades have two windows in a niche that start at the base as a rectangle, but soon change into a triangular shape. The slat systems follow these geometric shapes.
The motors of the louver systems are connected to a KNX system that integrates home and building automation. The slat systems can be operated fully automatically.
The residents have opted for the 96-E blade. This louver has a width of 96 mm. When the slats are fully open, the view between the louvers is 9 cm.
The aluminium parts are coated in the same colour as the window frames; RAL 7034, also known as traffic grey. The jet moulded plastic parts are in black.
