Trapezia, 150E, Residence, Gilze en Rijen, NL
The municipality of Gilze en Rijen (NL) is located about halfway between the cities Breda and Tilburg. Especially, the forests south of the village of Gilze offer plenty of entertainment for walkers and cyclists.
Here, a detached house has been fitted with unique louvers. By Sunshield, in collaboration with Contractor A&M Hersmis in Rijen. The front and rear facades are equipped with slat systems.
To the front façade, two asymmetrical louver systems have been fitted. Both have the shape of a trapezium. The left window changes shape after 700 mm, the right one after more than 1500 mm.
The two louver systems on the rear facade are mirror images of each other. These sun protection systems also have the shape of a trapezium, and transform shape after 700 mm.
Sunshield louver systems are always custom-made, so there is always a suitable solution. In addition, regardless of the shape, every window can be fitted with tilting louvers.
All louver systems here are equipped with an electric motor. The louvers can be set to any desired position between completely open or completely closed using a remote control.
The residents have chosen the 150-E louver, indeed 150 mm wide. If the louvers are fully open, the view between the slats is 14 centimetres. So, plenty of daylight and a view.
The aluminium parts are coated in RAL 7039, quartz grey. The gloss level of 30% gives the grey colour a matt appearance. The plastic parts are finished in black.
