Multiple shapes, 96E, Fikkert Zonwering, Almelo (NL)
Almelo is a municipality in the Twente region, the eastern part of the province of Overijssel. Almelo is also a water city surrounded by greenery. In short, there is always something to do.
Here is a modern country house equipped with unique louvers. By Sunshield, commissioned by Fikkert Zonwering also located in Almelo (NL).
This villa has four gables. A total of five louver systems have been fitted at the large windows in these facades. Two on the front facade and three on the rear facade.
Three louver systems are completely identical. These pentagons start at the base as a rectangle. After half a meter the shape changes into a triangle that ends with its point in the ridge.
The fourth gable has a chimney in the middle. To the left and right of this is a window. Both windows are triangular, they are, as it were, mirrored by the chimney.
Each louver system has its own motor connected to the home automation of the detached house. For all systems, the residents have chosen the 96-E louver.
As the name suggests, the 96-E has a width of 96 mm. The step size is 90 mm. When the slats are fully open, the free view between the slats is 9 cm.
The aluminium parts are coated in RAL 9004 with a fine structure. This structure results in a tactile and visible relief, which further increases the exclusivity.
This relief also provides the signal black colour with a matt appearance. The plastic parts, such as the clips that hold the louvers, are made in black.
