Almere is the largest city in the province of Flevoland. The municipality covers almost as much water as land. Water sports enthusiasts, but also hikers and cyclists, literally have plenty of space to roam.
Here, a detached house has been fitted with unique louvers. By Sunshield, commissioned by Vastbouw based in Rijssen (NL).
The total surface area covers 15 m2, divided over two separate louver systems. Each louver system has its own wireless motor.
The big advantage of this division is that the slats on both floors are operated independently of each other. This is done here with a remote control.
You can easily set the louvers to the desired angle. Not just completely open or completely closed, but in any position in between. This is achieved stepless.
The residents opted for the 96-E louver, which has a blade with a modern, sleek design and a width of 96 mm. The step size of the 96-E slat is 90 mm.
This means that when the louvers are completely open, the space between the louvers is 9 centimetres. This offers plenty of space for daylight and a view.
The aluminium components, including the louvers and the supports, are coated in RAL 8022. Due to the gloss level of 30%, the black-brown colour has a matt appearance.
The plastic parts, such as the clips that hold the slats, are black.
