Big Arch, 75-E, 19 The Atelier Architects, Zwolle (NL)
One of the more striking projects of Sunshield is the office of 19 Het Atelier in Zwolle (NL). The name is a combination of Het Atelier (The Atelier) and the house number of their address – 19.
19 Het Atelier Architects have transformed a factory building from 1940 into a contemporary office. And put this into use myself. An arch shaped extension has been realized on the property.
The facade of the arch is fitted with unique louvers by Sunshield. The total area measures no less than 145 m2. The awning is powered by hardwired motors.
The 75-E louver has been selected for this project. This is a louver with a convex front. The name of the slat refers to the width; 75 mm.
The aluminium parts are coated in RAL 7016 – anthracite gray. The plastic parts are black.
