Utrechtse Heuvelrug

The Utrechtse Heuvelrug is home to the second largest forest area in the Netherlands. The mixed forests and rolling hills guarantee outdoor fun no matter the season.

Here is a modern villa equipped with unique louvers. By Sunshield, commissioned by Habé Bouwen in Stijl in Lunteren. The beautiful country house was designed by architect Paul Tesser.

A louver system of approximately 10 m2 has been placed above the entrance. The lower half of the system is rectangular, the upper part ends with a point in the ridge of the roof.

Two blade systems have been installed on the rear facade. A rectangle/triangle has been installed above the sliding doors and a triangular louver system on the gable next to it.

In the left side facade, a slatted wall has been installed on the floor of the terrace. This wall is rectangular in shape and offers protection against sun, wind and curious looks.

Finally, a trapezoidal louver system has been placed on the right side wall, near the window on the first floor.

The louvers of all systems are tiltable. They can be placed at any angle between 0 and 90 degrees. This is done wirelessly and can be controlled centrally via home automation here.

The 155-E louver was preferred for all systems. This is a blade with a width of 155 mm. When the slats are fully open, there is a 14 cm view between the louvers. So full control over daylight or a beautiful view if desired.

The aluminium components are coated in RAL 9004, signal black, and have a fine structure. This structure provides a tangible and visible relief, which further increases the exclusivity.

The polyamide plastic parts are finished in black.
