Multiple shapes, 96E, Ramaker Bouw, Residence, Almelo, NL

Almelo (NL) is situated against the Sallandse Heuvelrug. The hills of this National Park were formed during the ice age and add for the outdoor enthusiast an extra dimension to the heaths and forests.

Here, a detached house has been fitted with unique louver systems. By Sunshield, in collaboration with Ramaker Construction in Den Ham.

In the front facade of the residence, there is a risalite on the right. The upper part, approximately 2 meters wide and three meters high, has been fitted with a rectangular louver system.

A bedroom at the rear looks out onto the back garden through a triangular window. Due to its location on the west, a louver system has also been fitted here, triangular of course.

The two glass sections on the left side facade have each been given their own louver system. On the ground floor a rectangular one and above that, as it were, up to the ridge, a triangular one.

Finally, a louver system has also been fitted in the tip of the asymmetrical outbuilding. This louver system also follows the atypical contours of the window.

The first four louver systems are driven by an electric motor and operated wirelessly. The slats of the last system are placed in a fixed position of 30° during installation. 

The slats, tiltable and fixed, are of the louver type 96-E. All aluminium parts are coated in RAL 9004. The gloss level of 30% and gives the signal black a matt appearance. The plastic components are also black.
