Triangle, 150E, J.A. van Niftrik, Residence, Maasdriel, NL
Rural Maasdriel is surrounded on three sides by the rivers Meuse and Waal. The municipality consists of 11 cores and just as many hamlets, each with its own charm. It is a wonderful place to stay.
Here is a detached house equipped with unique louvers. By Sunshield, commissioned by construction company J.A. van Niftrik located in the village Kruisstraat near Den Bosch (NL).
The left side facade of this modern barn house, a curtain wall, consists entirely of glass. The large window of the gable, above the sliding door, is equipped with a louver system.
The base of this triangle measures 6 meters 70 and the height is almost 5 meters. Despite the triangular shape, users can easily open and close the louvers with a remote control.
Or put them in any desired position in between. Louvers are tiltable, regardless of the shape. So, the louvers of this triangle tilt up to the ridge of the roof.
The owner of the residence has chosen the 150-E louver. An aluminum slat with a sleek design. As the name suggests, the louver is 150 mm wide.
The step size is 140 mm. This means that when the louvers are fully open, the view between the slats is 14 centimetres. A lot of space for daylight and a view.
The aluminium components are coated in RAL 7016. The anthracite grey colour has a matt appearance, which is further enhanced by the fine structure.
This structure gives the coating a tactile and visible relief, which further increases the exclusivity. The plastic parts, such as the clips that hold the slats, are black.
