L-system Clips
The desired louver type defines the clip. Because it is the clip that connects the louver to the rack arm. The L-system clip is used for the bigger (higher) louver types. Think of the 145-E and up. These louvers have a step size of 140 mm.
The clip is a two part mechanism. Jointly, the pivot arm and slat clip determine the position of the louver; from open to close, and any position in between.
The aluminium louvers sstarting with the 145-E, and the wooden louvers from the 148-W and up make use of the L-system and the L-system clip.
Pivot arm
The pivot arm is pressed into the top track of the rack. This makes a clipping sound, and the reason this part of the assembling process is called clipping.
Slat clip
The slat clip is the part that holds the louver. The slat clip is connected to the pivot arm. Together these parts operate like a knee of elbow joint.
