Venetian blinds are placed on the inside of the window. They become part of the interior. That makes the choices for aluminium or wood, and in which colour, even more personal.
Which style?
Wooden slats are ideal for evoking a feeling of the outdoors. In or around the home, or at a golf club for example. You create a more industrial look with aluminium louvers. Sleek and elegant. A fan of postmodern? Then use different colours for louvers, rack arms and clips. Either way, wow them your way!
Plenty of choice
Sunshield offers an extensive range of louvers in aluminium and wood. Louvers made of aluminium are available in a wide range of colours. You can choose from powder coat colours and anodizing colours. The most common colours are available from stock. Special colours and treatments, such as textured for example, are available on request. Wooden blades are usually made from Western Red Cedar. Wooden louvers are available with several treatments and in various colours.
The Curve, Amsterdam rounded with 8,000 unique slats
The Curve of the Kroonenberg Group is a striking office building in Amsterdam-North. The building has the shape of a reclining ellipse with an oblique and a straight side. Made from concrete and steel, covered with 3-layer glass. Glass with many curves and sloping. And no less than 175 window elements.
Ultimately, the 96E louver was selected for this project. 8,000 slats were needed. Because of the inclinations and angles almost all louvers have different dimensions. So most blades in this project are unique! The awnings are manually operated. The tenant can place the louvers in the desired angle of his preference.
